1961 – 1972

The Scottish Church Collegiate School

Professionalism came through hobbies in Electronics during school studies. He executed and gave leadership at various Science Exhibition in the years 1969, 1970 & 1971. He passed Higher Secondary in Science in the year 1972 under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.

1972-1975

The Scottish Church College

After completing school education in the year 1972 he was admitted to The Scottish Church College (an affiliated college of Calcutta University). He passed as Bachelor of Science in Physics (Hons) in the year 1975. At that time he was greatly inspired by Professor Lt. Anil Kumar Sen a great experimental physicist and the former principal of this college.

1975-1977

The Presidency College, Kolkata

In the year 1975, he took admission in Presidency College Kolkata under University of Calcutta (Presently known as Presidency University). In the year 1977 he received Master of Science in Physics with specialization in Solid State Physics and Electronics.

1979-1981

Indian Council of Medical Research

In the year 1979, he received Research Fellowship from Indian Council of Medical Research and started research in Biomedical Electronics under Dr. R. N. Sen, a renowned physiologist and ergonomist in the dept. of Physiology, University College of Science and Technology. This project was to develop socially acceptable monitoring instruments (SAMI) related to Ergonomics.

2000-2005

UCSTA

In the year 2000, he joined in Ph.D program at Department of Applied Physics, University College of Science, Technology and Agriculture (Calcutta University) under supervision and guidance of Prof. Dr. Satish Chandra Bera and in 2005 he awarded PhD (Technology) degree in Applied Physics.
